Right out of the box from modlite.com, my first impression was that this light felt really solid and well-made. After using it for a while, that impression mostly held up. It does get warm with extended use, but it never felt out of control or like it was a problem. Seems like the heat is managed well enough overall. I’m giving it 4 stars because I do wish it stayed a little cooler, but I’m still happy with it.

Shipping was quick, i’ve got no complaints at all. Everything showed up faster than I expected.

I was checking out a few different lights, and the product info is mostly there, but it’s not always laid out in the clearest way. Some specs were easy to spot, while others took a bit of clicking around to find. Anyway... it’s not a bad experience overall, just a little more time-consuming than I expected. It’d be nicer if the details and comparisons were easier to scan.

I bought this from Modlite mainly because I wanted something reliable that wouldn’t die on me quickly. So far, the battery life has been solid and it gets through my normal use without me thinking about it too much. That said, I still like to keep a spare charged, especially if I know I’ll be running it for a while. It does drain faster on the higher output settings, but that’s not really surprising. Overall, I’m happy with it. It’s not the longest-lasting battery setup ever, but it’s dependable enough for what I need, so I’m taking off one star for that.

At first glance, it does look clean and the finish feels nice. That said, I felt a little misled because I was expecting it to be a bit more premium based on the description. It’s not bad, just not quite what I thought I was getting.

The box showed up looking scuffed, maybe like it had been tossed around a bit. There wasn’t really any nice presentation, and it seemed like it was packed in a hurry or with not much care.

I really liked how modular everything is on Modlite. I was able to pick the head, body, switch, and mount myself instead of getting stuck with a setup I didn’t actually want, which feels avoidable with how they have it laid out. It took me a little bit to figure out the different combos, but once it clicked, it was easy. I also like knowing I can swap parts out later if I want to change things up.

I’m annoyed with this. The brightness is way weaker than I expected, and I feel like the product description made it sound a lot better than it actually is. If I’d known the output was this dim, I wouldn’t have bought it.

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the packing slip confused me a bit at first, but once I checked the actual items, everything was right. I’d order from them again.

I’ve dropped this thing twice already, and I assumed it would start acting up after that because that’s usually what happens with stuff like this. But nope, it still works totally fine.

It works fine overall, no real issues there. I just wish it didn’t cost so much... for what it is, it feels a bit expensive.

i mean, the first thing I noticed after getting my light from modlite.com was definitely the color temperature.

It has that clean white look without being overly blue or harsh like some other lights I’ve used. Outside, everything still looks natural instead of washed out or strange.
Overall I’m really happy with it. Shipping was fine too, but the beam color is what really makes it a 5-star light for me

I reached out to support and they got back to me fast, which I really appreciated. The answer was maybe a little brief at first, but it still helped me move forward and they were nice about it...

Not gonna lie, I was expecting the warranty return to be a hassle, but it was actually painless. Replies were quick enough, and they got everything sorted without making it weird or dragging it out. better than I expected.

I was worried there might be stock issues, but everything I needed was available. i kind of regret wasting time looking around elsewhere first because this was much easier than I expected.

It does work, but it wasn’t as smooth as I was expecting and it take me a little while to get used to it. The buttons feel kind of stiff sometimes, and where you place everything matter more than I thought it would. I’m not going to return it or anything, but for the price I was hoping the controls would felt a bit easier to use. 3 stars seems fair to me.
